INTERNATIONAL TRIPS |
| |
| A unique part of the
Pottsville Gymnastic Training Center is the opportunity for
their gymnasts to travel internationally. Pottsville GTC
has participated in several competitions abroad. In
addition, Pottsville GTC high school seniors have the
chance to travel to a country of their choice for gymnastic
training and sightseeing- learning about another culture. It is
truly an opportunity of a lifetime.
With the first trip being to
Russia in 1997, Pottsville GTC has now been
represented in Poland, Canada, Netherlands, Great Britain,
Belgium, France, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Bahamas, Germany and
Puerto Rico.

Senior Trip |

Four PGTC gymnasts had an international opportunity
when they recently traveled to Europe for two weeks.
Making the trip were (front) Rachel Gittens;
(back) Kristen Onder, Alicia White and Lynn
Anczarski. All four girls are seniors in high
school and have all been a member of the PGTC team
for 10-12 years. Accompanying the girls were
coaches Sandy and Barbara as well as Barbara's
children Reiley and Brendan. The girls
traveled to France, Netherlands and Germany.
In addition to training at many gymnastic centers
and sightseeing, the girls also attended the Massilia Cup and DTB Cup where they got to watch
many of the worlds top gymnasts and meet up with
many of the gymnasts and coaches that have been here
in Pottsville for our Friendship Classic.
